D.A.S.H. OUTDOORS

Hello and welcome to D.A.S.H. OUTDOORS. My name is Duane D. Hall. I was born and raised in Elmhurst, PA and have lived in this area all my life. I now reside in Springbrook Township with my wife Lynda and our two daughters Amanda and Siera.

I have been hunting and fishing in this area since the age of 12. I was introduced to the outdoors by my mother and uncles. It did not take long for all forms of hunting to become an addiction to me. I have been lucky enough to spend more time in the woods than most people do in a lifetime. I hunted alone in the woods for many years and once I found a hunting partner I found that I enjoyed his successes as much as my own. I found I was spending as much time getting his stands and blinds set as I did my own. During this time my daughter Amanda finally became old enough to go into the woods with me. Not long after this the PA. Game Commission opened up the youth / mentored hunting season. This changed everything! Since then I have spent a great deal of time with her and her younger sister teaching them how to shoot and hunt. I have found this to be more rewarding than harvesting any game animal. To make a long story short, Amanda has been able to harvest a deer in North Carolina and a Turkey in PA. I am now hooked. I have found out I am no longer only hunting or scouting for me! It is all for them.

It was one day after a successful turkey season that my daughters asked me why I didn’t guide for other people and to tell you the truth I had no answer. It got me to thinking about how I have been kind of guiding for years for my friends and how they have found success. I discovered that taking someone out hunting, especially a child, and seeing them be successful gave me an adrenaline rush beyond compare! I thought about finding all of these things more rewarding to me than the harvesting of my own animal. And finally I came to the realization that I needed to do something about it. So, after I made mention of all this to my wife, a lot of research and legwork D.A.S.H. OUTDOORS was born. We have decided to focus our energies on youth/ mentor turkey hunts, but our guide service is open to any and all hunters that wish to use our services.

I am lucky enough to work a second shift job that allows me to spend a lot of time scouting, watching and patterning birds. On weekends, or no school days, Amanda and Siera are right out there with me helping out. They help me with scouting, stand/blind set up, and trail cam placement. My wife Lynda is the technical /computer person behind the scenes. It is truly a family endeavor.

So should you feel compelled to contact us, or book a hunt with us, know that you are dealing with a down to earth, outdoors loving family. Our sole intention is to provide both children and adults with a fun, memorable and hopefully successful day afield. No stone will be left unturned in providing you with a first class hunt in a down to earth setting. Thank you and good hunting.
